First time I use Bloombar watches to sell a watch and as all other reviews attest, everything was great and would highly recommend without hesitation. Quick email replies, good knowledge, very fair pricing and money wired to my account before I left. Add to that just lovely team/people to deal with. Will be on my list of people to use for next purchase and sale.

Great experience from start to finish! Found Bloombar via a social media post and was hesitant at first to deal with a company in this way but so glad I did. The watch was presented in mint condition and a visit to their London office sealed the deal. Everyone at Bloombar knows their stuff and if you have questions or concerns, you can discuss them with experts. Will definitely return when next looking to buy.

Flawless. Really satisfying to find a business that truly looks after you and has the patience to work with you to get exactly what you are looking for. Sam was brilliant.
The aftersales service (to adjust the strap and demonstrate how the watch functions work) has also been exemplary
There really is no other place to buy a watch.

How Much Is My Rolex Worth?

Rolex is famous for their incredibly long waiting lists, which can considerably impact the value of the most in-demand models. Valuable details, such as rare dials, bezels and patina will not be overlooked and form a core part of our valuations, authentication and inspection process. Our skilled team will carefully study your watch to determine its true value.

Other factors such as recent auction sale prices and current trends, along with external economic factors all play a role when valuing a watch. Currently, we purchase Rolex watches from between £2,000 to £400,000.

Notable Rolex models
We buy all models Rolex, both current and vintage. Here are some of the most commonly traded Rolex models:
Rolex Submariner

Designed as a survival watch for divers, the Rolex Submariner is the ultimate luxury watch.
Since 1953 it has been the pride piece in any collection, featuring an iconic watertight design, unidirectional rotating bezel, Oyster Steel bracelet and chromalight display.

Rolex GMT-Master II

Adopted by airline pilots back in 1955, the Rolex GMT’s successor is the ultimate cosmopolitan watch. Featuring a two-colour rotatable graduated bezel, 24-hour hand and customizable second-time zone, it’s as functional as it is stunning.

Rolex Daytona

Since its launch in 1963, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona has become inseparable from the iconic racetrack it’s named after. The Daytona offers unparalleled precision even in the most challenging conditions, with its legendary five-circle iconography, white and black counters and chronograph movement.

Rolex Datejust

Back in the 1940s, The Rolex Datejust was the first-ever self-winding waterproof chronometer to feature a magnified date window. Available with three case sizes and three bracelet options, there are now a wide variety of models in Oystersteel, two-tone Oystersteel and Gold. This stunning feat of technology is as popular as ever today.

Rolex Day-Date

Introduced in 1954, the prestigious Rolex Day-Date grabbed attention with its unique day-of-the-week display at the top of the dial. Worn by Presidents in the 50s and 60s, it’s available in 36mm and 41mm case sizes and only gold or platinum. Ultra rare models include a Day-Date 36, featuring emojis, and another with turquoise and precious stone dials.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual

A descendant of the original 1920s Oyster (the first ever waterproof watch), the Rolex Oyster Perpetual features a corrosion-resistant alloy and a contemporary look in subtle or vibrant colours. The Oyster Perpetual is available from 28mm to 41mm, in green, champagne, navy and the glorious ‘Don’t-call-it-Tiffany’ turquoise.

Rolex Yacht-Master

1992’s Oyster Yacht-Master was crafted for the reading and calculation of navigational time and has been donned by the likes of Sir Ben Ainslie. With an elegant bidirectional rotatable bezel and Cyclops date window, it is one of only two Rolexes available in corrosion-resistant RLX titanium.

Rolex Sky-Dweller

The relatively recent (2012) Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky‑Dweller displays two time zones and dates in a sophisticated and intuitive Ring Command design. The fluted bezel allows for instantaneous adjustments and reflection of the sun, for easy readability in all conditions.

Rolex Milgauss

The pride of scientists, pilots and racing drivers, the Rolex Milgauss can withstand magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss (10x more than an average watch). With an Oystersteel casing and bracelet, it also features an eye-catching ‘Z-Blue’ dial, green sapphire crystal and a unique lightning-bolt seconds hand.

Selling Your Rolex: FAQs
Can I Sell a Rolex Without Its Papers?
  • Yes. You can sell your Rolex watch without its papers, after a careful inspection from our in-house specialists.
  • Selling your Rolex with its original papers and box can increase its price, as they prove authenticity.
How Do Rolex Watches Compare in Value to Other Brands?
  • Rolex sets the standard for luxury watch brands and is often the ultimate purchase of any watch collector.
Where Can I Find My Rolex Model and Serial Number?

The easiest place to find your serial number is on the warranty card or paper certificate that accompanied your watch. In the event you have misplaced the warranty card or certificate, then there are alternative ways to find it:

  • A 4-8 digit serial number can be found engraved on every Rolex model, behind the bracelet at the 6 o’clock position on the case side.
  • The 4-6 digit model number can be found on the opposite side, at the 12 o’clock position.
  • Removing the bracelet is required to find these numbers.
How Simple Is Selling a Rolex with Bloombar?
  • We’ve designed our selling process to be as simple as possible for the seller. Upon request, we’ll send you a valuation quote within just a few hours.
  • If you then decide to proceed with the sale, we’ll send you a ‘Watch Information Form’ for you to fill in and enclose with your watch.
  • After using a tracked DHL delivery, our in-house specialists will then inspect the watch before making a final offer.
  • If you decide to sell, we’ll pay you via bank transfer on the same day we receive it. No waiting. No stress.
How Safe is Selling My Rolex with Bloombar?

With a highly experienced team covering everything from Sales and Purchasing to Transport and Customer Service, we are constantly on hand to ensure the sale of your watch is as smooth and pain-free as possible from start to finish.

What Do I Need to Prepare Before Selling My Rolex?

Sending us the following items with your watch will help prove authenticity and can increase your valuation. It is possible to sell your watch without them, but you may find the valuation to be lower:

  • Warranty card or paper certificate that accompanies your watch.
  • The model number and serial number.
  • Original box
  • The sale receipt
  • Any repair receipts

You’ll also need to include our ‘Watch Information Form’ with your package. We advise that you safely bubble-wrap the watch to avoid damage in transit. Finally, please upload the DHL tracking number to your Bloombar Watches account.

Can I Part-Exchange my Rolex watch for something new?

Absolutely! Over 50% of our watch sales involve a part exchange, and it might even help you get a bit more for your watch. Please submit a quote request via our online form and we’ll respond with an offer as quickly as possible.

How Does Bloombar Deliver and Collect Rolex Watches?

Bloombar offers a complimentary, fully insured, same-day collection service via DHL. We also offer a free, same-day collection service for high-value watches located within the M25 via our in-house motorbike courier. Alternatively, feel free to make an appointment to pop in with your watch to our Central London boutique.

Do Rolex Watches Hold Their Value?

Rolex watches are almost treated as a tradeable commodity and their liquidity can be compared to gold bullion. A Rolex watch can hold the same value, almost anywhere in the world, and can be compared to having “cash on your wrist”.

Generally speaking, a Rolex watch should increase in value by around 8% per year, in line with annual retail price increases. Older and rarer examples can increase far more significantly in value; for example, Paul Newman’s Rolex Daytona Cosmograph was recently sold at auction for $17.75 million!

How Soon Can I Expect an Offer for My Rolex?

We aim to provide a valuation within 2-4 hours of your request. Naturally, the office can get busy, so if your sale is urgent then feel free to call us on 0207 458 4544 (Monday to Friday, 09:30am – 5:30pm).

Does Bloombar Offer Consignment?

Yes. Consignment works brilliantly on watches valued at over £15,000 and for those watches which are slightly rarer, more niche and potentially riskier for a dealer to purchase outright. Bloombar can sell your Rolex watch on your behalf, taking an agreed percentage only when your watch sells.

When considering whether to sell your watch outright or go down the consignment route, you must decide whether speed or price is your driving factor. On average, watches sold on consignment can return sellers 15% more and up to as much as 30% more.
